New(s) is good at Belton Dear All,
We hope you are looking forward to attending Belton this year. We have made a few changes to the event this year. Firstly, we have added a member’s area which is proving popular and we hope will be a great asset to this year’s event, with complimentary tea and coffee available, a nice place to rest your legs overlooking the Grantham Cup Arena and light lunches also served. If you haven't already purchased yours, its not too late! General admission tickets can also be upgraded to Members at the event office. Also, as in our motto of moving with the times, this year at Belton we are moving from a paper based programs to an app! We feel this is a necessary move, it will enable us to present much more up to date running orders and information for you. Please download this before you arrive and also please feel free to download even if your not at Belton this year. The app is called Eventing App and can be downloaded from the Apple store for Iphones and google play for Android phones, it is free of charge. Even if you are not at Belton you will be able to keep up to date via our live scoring, view the cross country courses via the CrossCountry App, and keep up to date of any other information. There will be a notification facility so please allow the push notifications when prompted. This is very much work in progress, and please feedback any good ideas for future improvement. Many Thanks for your cooperation. BEDE Team It's that time of the year when everyone is excited to see the list of entries for Badminton. For the riders entered it is always a nervous wait to see where they are on the list of eccepted entires or on the dreaded waitlist. So once more there are more riders wanting to compete at the 2017 Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials than can be accommodated, so 85 horses have been accepted and the rest are on a Waiting List. Because of Double Entries and riders who have entered several horses, there are 87 horses on the list, but it will produce a maximum of 85 runners. Double click the file to view the entries
Congratulations to Yoshiaki Oiwa for winning the CIC*** in Barroca d'alva, Portugal this weekend riding the Duke of Cavan. A former ride of Millie Dumas who has produced the horse beautifully. Uptown Eventing sourced thge horse for Yoshi who bought him in 2015 with the intention of competing at the Rio Olympics, where they finished 20th.
At Barrocca it was a fantastic result for another Uptown Eventing sourced horse, Back to Business and Katherine Coleman who finished 7th in the same section - first time at that level for the mare. |
