Allerton Park Horse Trials 2012

The Allerton Park Horse Trials Committee have announced that it is adding an Advanced Course to its 2012 Programme which will take place on 15th and 16th September 2012.
The new course is intended to provide riders with that essential practice at the end of the season before leaving for the Europe.

There is at last, a late season advanced course in the North of England that will fill the gap left by the closure of Witton Castle some time ago. The course designer will be Ian Stark. The Advanced Course will replace the current Open Intermediate (OI) Section.

The Course Builders are Dominic Lawrence and Olympic Course Builder David Evans. The course will be just under 4k in distance with 32 fences and will include a woodland section. Work is due to start on fence design, planning and build in January 2012.

Ian Stark is continuing with his plans to develop Allerton Park's other courses with a remodelling of the island complex and work has already started on a new dressage area.
