A chance email back in 2001 to the then Eventing Magazine Editor Kate Green asking if they'd like to feature Rachel in an article as she was competing at Blenheim CCI*** and had a full-time job, kick-started her journalistic career. Kate then featured her as the Working Rider Diarist in 2002 and Rachel wrote about her humourous antics both on and off the horse. This then led to report writing and as a freelance journalist she has covered many International Three Day and One Day events including Kentucky CCI****, Boekelo CCI*** and Pau CCI***. Following a gossipy lunch with the new and current Eventing Magazine Editor, Julie Harding, her amusing "Stabletalk" column was born and is now in it's 3rd sucessful year, keeping the event circuit tuned into who's doing what and with who!

Rachel's ability to inject humour into her work is her speciality, while her knowledge and contacts in the eventing world are second to none.
