ABOUT AVENCHES

Since 2006, international eventing tournaments have been organised on the site of the Institut Equestre National d’Avenches (IENA) – the Swiss National Equestrian Institute – by a small group of people passionate about eventing. After simultaneously hosting a CIC**, a CCI* as well as CCIY** in June 2006, this outstanding equestrian facility saw the organisation of both La Coupe des Alpes (CCIO**) and a CCI* in autumn that same year.

Where is Avenches

Thanks to its convenient location within the immediate vicinity of the A1/E25 motorway, the Institut Equestre National d'Avenches (IENA) - the Swiss National Equestrian Institute - can easily be accessed by competitors and the public.

From Exit # 28 (Avenches), just follow the signs "IENA/Haras national".

Avenches is located within 30 minutes from Bern and one hour from Geneva or Basel.
